Lessons Whispered to Me by Life Herself

“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.” - Søren Kierkegaard.

I’ve danced through the years, stumbling over pebbles, soaring on gusts of wind, and sometimes, simply standing still, letting the world rush around me. Life, in all its unpredictable glory, has whispered countless lessons into my ears. Today, I want to share some of those precious nuggets of wisdom that have transformed my journey.

  1. Embrace the Unexpected: If there’s one constant in life, it’s change. The moment I stopped resisting and began to lean into the unexpected, I discovered opportunities that once were hidden from my sight.
  2. You Are Enough: It took me decades to realize this: I am enough. Not because of my accolades, successes, or even failures, but simply because I exist. So are you. Right here, right now, you are enough.
  3. The Power of Now: The present moment, fleeting and intangible, is all we truly have. By grounding myself in the present, I’ve learned to cherish every heartbeat, every breath, and every fleeting sensation.
  4. Kindness, Always: Kindness, whether directed towards myself or others, has never steered me wrong. It has bridged gaps, healed wounds, and created connections where none existed.
  5. Failure is a Stepping Stone: Every setback, every tear I’ve shed, has paved the way to where I am now. Failure is life’s way of redirecting us, teaching us resilience, and refining our purpose.
  6. Connection Over Perfection: The most profound moments in my life have not been when everything was picture-perfect, but when I was deeply connected—whether to another soul, to nature, or to a passionate project.
  7. Laughter is Life’s Elixir: There’s healing in humor. When life weighs heavy, a hearty laugh has the power to lift the spirit, bridge divides, and remind us of the joy that resides within.
  8. Let Go to Grow: Whether it's past regrets, toxic relationships, or outdated beliefs, letting go has always made room for growth, for new experiences, and for a deeper understanding of who I am.
  9. Nature is the Best Therapist: A walk in the woods, the sound of waves, or simply watching the dance of flames in a campfire—nature has a way of calming my storms, centering my thoughts, and nourishing my soul.
  10. Life is in the Details: The grand moments are breathtaking, yes, but life's magic often resides in the tiny, overlooked moments—the smell of rain, a child's laughter, the feeling of a loved one's hand in mine.

As I continue my dance with life, I’m certain she will keep whispering her wisdom into my ears. And while each of our journeys is unique, with its own rhythm and melody, there are universal truths that bind us. My hope is that, in sharing my lessons, you find a resonance, a chord that strikes true to your own heart’s song.

To life, with all its ups and downs, and to each one of you reading this, remember: Life doesn’t come with a manual, but it often comes with a whisper. Listen closely. 🍃
